Well, paid search, of course. Also known as Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising, experts forecast $14 billion dollar revenue in paid search sales this year alone, not to mention an astounding 37% growth rate annually for the years to come. But then, what in the world is PPC?PPC definedPPC is an advertising method used on websites, search engines, and advertising networks.Advertisers usually pay a specific rate that they specified for each visitor who will click by means of the search engine website or its affiliates to their website. Advertisers bid on various keywords (e.g. cellular phone, foot spa, etc.) which they think a certain group of people would type using the search bar when looking for a particular service or product.? The advertisements are popularly known as sponsored ads or sponsored links, which usually appears next to or above the organic or natural results on the webpage.Paying every time a user clicks on an ad, the advertisers decide on their budget. They also need a ready website and a credit card, and voila! They are on their way to advertise on the top websites in the Internet in a flash.Numerous advertisers attest to the enjoyment of advertising using PPC, not only because it is simple, but also they got a bigger control over their advertisement campaign and they obtain better response on its operation. The growing significance of marketing online causes PPC to be considered as an important field, with CEO?s heading the PPC promotion of their own companies. While there are numerous companies that exist in the web, Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly known as Overture) and Google AdWords are currently the largest system operators. MSN follows suit, beta testing its own PPC service, the MSN adCenter. PPC CategoriesPPC engines have three categories: Keyword, Product, and Service.KeywordKeywords that advertisers bid on can be words and phrases, as well as model numbers of various products. When a visitor uses one of these words or phrases for searching, a list of links for advertisers will appear ? the order depending on the bid price.? Keywords, also known as search terms, are very important in PPC advertising. It is no surprise then that these terms are protected and regarded as valuable business secrets by advertisers, such that numerous firms provide software and/or services to aid advrtisers in developing keyword techniques.? The most notable keyword search engines are:??? Google AdWords??? Yahoo! Search Marketing (used to be Overture)??? Miva (used to be FindWhat)??? Ask (used to be Ask Jeeves)??? LookSmart??? Microsoft adCenter??? 7Search ??? Baidu??? KanoodleProductAlso known as Price Comparison engines or Product Comparison engines,? Product engines allow advertisers to offer feeds of the databases of their products. These engines also permit visitors to look for a specific product, prioritizing those advertisers who pay more, and allow them to sort the products by price to find out which is the least expensive, click on the product, and purhase it.The most notable product search engines are:??? NexTag??? Shopzilla.com??? BizRate.com??? Shopping.com??? PriceGrabber.comServiceService engines permit advertisers to give feeds of the databases of their services. These engines also allow visitors to look for a specific service they want, prioritizing those advertisers who pay more, and allow them to sort the services by price or any another way to find out which they prefer.?

With neck-to-neck competition becoming the market phenomenon the emphasis on advertising too has received much significance. Companies involve very many ways to advertise their business inparticular by the use of promotional items.

The most popular methods include banners, billboards, pamphlets, print, broadcast and online advertisements. However, in all of them there is a tint of commercialism and hence, most of the times they fail to build up an impression in the audience mind. Here comes the importance of the advertisement gained through the promotional items. The promotional products never appear as upfront means of business promotion but rather camouflage themselves as personal gifts. This is what makes them stand out as an unique form of advertising.

Let us see how the promotional merchandise are distinct as modes of advertisement -

Have an individual reach:

The promotional items are distributed among every audience present in the business events and promotional campaigns. It is made sure that the corporate merchandise is received by each one attending the occasion. This accounts for their individual reach and eventually the company they represent. However, this is not the case with the common media forms. The insertions made through them are directed towards the audience at large. There is no guarantee that the company message hits the audience actually targeted.

Caters to extensive audience base:

The portable nature of the promotional commodities help them to venture into extensive audience base. They are taken along by the audiences to different places in the course of their tours and travels. This enables the branding components imprinted on them come in terms with many new audiences in these new destinations. Thus, the brand presence does not remain restricted within the core audience group but spreads to non-catered potential and existing clients as well.

Generates word-of-mouth advertisement:

The strategy behind the use of promotional items is to generate word-of-mouth advertisement for the company they stand for. Acting as token of appreciation for the different audiences in their own distinctive way they have great implications from the viewpoint of brand marketing. The customers who are treated with such promotional items talk about the brand in public and thus act as the voluntary brand ambassadors for the company. The public is more ready to believe the words of the experienced customers, so they turn out as the secondary customers for the company.
Therefore, with this clear understanding about the competency of promotional articles feel free to promote your company by advertising your brand identity through them.

Promotional items can take your business to new heights and also help to strengthen your relationship with your business partners.

With the help of promotional items imprinted with your company name, logo, contact details, and slogan, you can enlarge your customer base and create loyalty among your existing customers. Till now, if you haven?t tried this proven marketing method, this is the time to appreciate and leverage the benefits.
Before you actually buy or choose promotional gifts, try to spend considerable time thinking about your company?s client base and what sort of promotional items would best compliment your business. It?s true that conventional promotional items such as pens, mouse mats, and mugs always work well, but you have to be more creative and think out of the box if you are catering to a wild mix. Why not go for umbrellas, USBs, clocks, tape measures, and desktop accessories. Remember that your company brand image is a highly important factor and you may not like to compromise with it. If you want to portray a serious image, it?s better to use quality items such as leather conference folders rather than low cost promotional items such as acrylic keyrings.
After selecting the product, the next most important task is to find the way you want to display your brand, logo, or message on your promotional items. You can emboss your company details such as name, telephone number, and web address on the promotional items. You can even add your slogan or your physical office address with a unique stylised design.
Next is to consider how you?re going to use the promotional items. Try to find answers to questions such as:

Are you distributing them out for free on the street?

Will you be gifting them to valued customers to thank them for their support?

Will you award them to your employees on special occasions, such as promotions or retirement and annual parties?

If you are able to find answers to these questions, you can decide on the distributional strategies and of course other relevant aspects such as design. A proper strategy can actually take your business to new heights as all these considerations affect the kinds of promotional items you want and the amount of money you are ready to spend on your promotional items. As soon as you’ve weighed all these elements up, it’s time to find the best promotional gifts supplier. Online you can find a wide range of suppliers that offer the best quality promotional items at competitive prices. Leading gift houses provide you with pictorial presentation of the various promotional items that are available in various colours, designs, style, and imprinting options.
T he company and brand Ted Baker is now a global phenomenon. Since the late 1980s the brand has expanded, firstly in the UK, then further further a field with internation expansion. And all of this success based on limited to zero paid advertising. All this natural success from a fashion savvy man that doesn?t really exist?

Having 20 years of experience has certainly contributed a great deal to the fact that it is now one of the largest brand names all over the UK today. This is greatly attributed to the fact that ever since the beginning; Ted Baker never lost sight of his focus and attention to quality and detail. Mixed with that sense of humour that is all too characteristic of his products, Ted Baker even made sure to provide a particular service that his customers would surely remember about him. The first stores ever provided a laundry service for each shirt ever purchased. This became the primary reason why his collection has been dubbed No Ordinary Designer Label.

Another very interesting fact about Ted Baker is that the company does not incorporate any advertising campaign, unlike most of the other leading designers in the fashion and lifestyle industry. Ted Baker prefers to advertise via word of mouth. This actually indicates how strong a brand and name Ted Baker has become because his customers do the advertising and the marketing for him. Which is primarily the reason why Ted Baker strives hard to come up with invigorating and refreshing ideas for the designs of his clothing line! With every Ted Baker item purchased, you are sure that his persona is woven right into its core.

At present, Ted Baker?s collection caters to men, women, and children of all ages. This extensive collection includes Men?s Wear, Women?s Wear, Teddy Girl, Teddy Boy, Teddy Baby, Skinwear, Eyewear, Footwear, Fragrance, Watches, and Accessories. Aside from being a huge name all over the UK, Ted Baker is also growing massively in the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur. In fact, Ted Baker has opened three stores in Kuala Lumpur alone, and two stores each in both Jakarta and Dubai. Concessions have also been opened in both Bangkok and Taiwan. With such an expansion, Ted Baker is certainly on his way of becoming one of the largest brand names in the fashion industry.

2008 is sure to be another busy year for Ted Baker as well. It seems like the designer brand is intent on global domination of the men?s fashion industry. Indeed plans of opening new outlets in Cambridge and Belfast are currently in play. Ted Baker is also set out to start another innovative venture in the form of Ted Baker & Friends. This venture has Ted Baker partnering with Cushion The Impact, King of Shaves Pro, Street Shine, and The Carphone Warehouse. Situated right in the centre of London, Ted Baker & Friends will surely be a strong hit with the many loyal “Ted Baker” customers garnered by this multitalented designer.

The differences between casual and formal advertising

Why is it that casual and personal advertising is so much more attractive than formal marketing? It seems that casual marketing is so much popular because when you use it in your ads you are most likely to have a good relationship with your clients and associates.

?

Good rapport is what you would want to have with your prospective customers. And you can have that by making sure that you have a two-way communication between you and your clients. When you keep the lines of communication open, you are building not only a warm and caring bond, but most importantly, you create a strong connection.

?

But sometimes, the trouble with focusing too much on being more casual with your marketing efforts is that you forget the importance of professionalism in your ads. This is when your promotional campaign becomes awkward and plain for your target clients? tastes.

?

All things considered, you need to have an effective ad campaign for your business. And having it casual without disregarding the professional side of your marketing ad such as your custom greeting cards to help you promote your business can go a long way in ensuring that you achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

?

There is a balance that you have to maintain between formal and professional with that of casual advertising. Certain mistakes may be made that could get in the way of maintaining that balance between the casual and professional marketing. If you want your ads such as your custom greeting cards to work for you, there are certain rules that you should follow:

?

When creating your ads, one of the first things you need to consider is the time and season that you?re going to send them. Your greetings depend on the occasion. A good wish for the New Year is certainly over so you may not be able to use that, as well as that of Christmas. If you have not been able to send greeting cards last year, you might want to try them out this season, using the different events being celebrated on the first quarter of the new year of course.

?

Second, sending greeting cards can be your way of telling your target audience that you appreciate them and their loyalty ? enough to remember to wish them good tidings whatever the occasion. You might want to try a handwritten note in your cards to encourage approval. And if you do not write your greetings yourself, you can always sign it at the end. A handwritten signature convinces your target clients of your sincerity of making your relationship with your target clients? work.

?

Third, when creating your cards, be sure to have an updated database. Never create an opportunity for your target clients to feel unappreciated just because you have not bothered to correct a misspelled name or looked for a misplaced surname.

?

The bottom line is to make sure that your ads lean towards a more casual campaign, and still be professional about it. If you could find the balance between these two factors, you can almost be guaranteed of a successful marketing campaign in your possession.

Without the many forms of advertising available, everything would be sold to the same people with the same needs. Marketing strategies have existed and adapted through the ages.

Every person who has become even a little familiar with the Internet has seen some form of advertising on their computer. It may have come as an email, seen as a banner ad, a pop-up, pop-under, or rotation ads placed by companies on your browser. Advertising, businesses, and the brilliant people who create the kinds of marketing choices available have been around in some form or another ever since there were humans around to trade with. And the power of color, size, placement, style, and medium used; or the impact of season, timing, viewers available, and?customers needing the product or service offered?creates staggering variables in statistics. The possibilities are endless when it comes to advertising.

Research and development teams across the globe spend millions of dollars on testing particular advertising methods each year. Internet Marketing is a relatively new concept compared to news print, radio, and even television. To get a handle on the challenges of the new marketing strategists and their approach to eye catching, innovative marketing techniques, we first need to venture back and take a look at how the article writer became a television commercial entertainer.

In the early 1900’s, RCA, Westinghouse, and others were in the running to produce a working television for every home in America. The print media was in a frenzy reporting every claim, patent, and testing model rumored or reality. DuMont, GE, RCA, and Andrea were some of the American versions of the television available around the late 1930’s to 40’s. People were starting to own televisions but what was showing? What were they watching?

Around 1945, wartime viewing was limited to only a few days a week and a couple of shows a day. Interesting and genius was Macy’s Wednesday night slot called “Macy’s Teleshopping”. I credit Macy’s with being the leader and guru of advertising brilliance. They took the ball and ran with it and the whole viewing world ran with them. The DuMont television station WABD channel 4 even sent out customer survey cards for market testing to see which shows the audience liked best. An entire marketing industry was born out of the new media. TV Guide was at a circulation of 92,112 by?December 1949, yet another way to get the marketing gurus jumping for ad ideas. Well jump they did, with a reader base so large and a viewer base even larger with the reported number of television sets in operation then being 2,000,000, advertising was the way to fortunes.

Now the problem of what motivated people to buy came into focus. Johnny Olsen? Howdy Doody? Or the sex appeal of Joan Kemp, Miss Electronics of 1949? Better yet, a 20 second song and dance by the cartoon BVD’s? The use of animation, sex appeal, honesty, and trustworthiness came into play and used correctly created wealth and released buying power. Speckled among the regular showings of “I Love Lucy” , “The Lone Ranger”, The John Daly News”, “Wagon Train”, “Perry Mason”, and “Mystery Theatre”, all having their sales spots in place, were “Kraft Theatre”, “Campbell Sound Stage”,? “Lux Video Theatre”, and “Pabst Blue Ribbon Fights”.? They all designed selling without the sale.

Everything was surveyed, tested, and tweaked and they did all this without the use of the home computer. Imagine that. Today, we have the luxury of that technology right at our fingertips. Now, what do we do with this knowledge, where do we begin? Do we advertise with real people in our ads, animated figures, or do we use the old standby sex appeal? The initial sale was never the real problem for marketers, it was the long term customer. The product has to eventually speak for itself. I believe anyone has the possibility of marketing anything and selling it once, but if the product does not do what it says in the advertisement, there will be a demise shortly after the first sale. A salesman without a product or service is left then to find another one.

Entertainment, information, need, and curiosity spark a potential client’s interest. Start with what first got your attention, what is the one point that sold you. This is the attention grabber. Then, to keep their focus long enough to peak their interest, you need a product or service that people actually need or want. Something that will offer them a healthier, easier, or less stressful future, whether that future is 5 or 20 years, or in an hour or so. Look at your products strong points. What is different, special, or extraordinary about it? Evaluate your products weak points as well, what you think is not a big deal may be the best selling tool you have.

No advertising is the only wrong advertising. Glean ideas from your product or service. People like to be informed of what a product does and is useful for. Let them know and put your own spin on it.

Well, to start off I should probably explain the basic premise of each.

PPC advertising basically involves buying sponsored search engine listings via a PPC company like google, overture, miva, or others. You pay so much for your ad to appear as a sponsored listing in search engine results.

Article marketing, on the other hand, involves writing optimized articles, including text anchor links back to your web site, and submitting them to the big article directories online, who often have the ability to get your properly optimized article on to the top ten page in a search engine listing.

So what are the pros and cons of each? Well, on price: PPC costs money, and article marketing costs time. So if you are just getting started online and money is an issue, but you have a lot of time, article marketing is probably a better choice. But if you have been online for awhile and are making $20,000 per month, then you might be better off to spend $5000 per month on PPC.

Well, what about response? OK, article marketing is usually a little slower to get you responses, and there is usually not a huge amount of traffic per article, whereas with PPC you can dial it up about as high as you want, from the very first day, depending on how much money you want to spend and how many keywords you are willing to pay for. On the other hand, and article ? market generated visitor is probably of 10 or maybe even 20 times higher worth in terms of how much they will ever buy from you ? it tends to be a much higher quality lead.

You?ve decided that the time has come to use your nest egg and you are going to sell up and buy a property in one of the sunshine states. Take early retirement perhaps. You?d like to sell your house as quickly as possible. Perhaps you?ve decided that the traditional way of selling a property is not for you-what other options are open to you? You could put up a for sale by owner notice outside your house and advertise it in the local paper, or maybe even on local radio if you live in a small town. Whatever you decide you will need to find some way of advertising your house privately. This is an option that is becoming more popular as real estate fees continue to rise. Advertising your house privately could prove a lot more economical than going through the traditional route - it could also be a lot quicker.

There are internet sites now that for a small fee will advertise your property for you. You may want statewide coverage, or you may want a more local site. If you decide to do this you should try to find out how they deal with and pass on any enquiries they may receive. Some people find these sites really helpful and a lot less trouble than dealing with a real estate firm. It can also save you a fair bit in commission payments, which vary from company to company but are still quite steep. If your house sells for a hundred and fifty thousand dollars or more then the commission could be quite a wad of cash.

If you don?t want to use the internet to sell your property then try the local newspaper. Quite a lot of people who are selling privately advertise their house for sale on the notice board of their local store. Others may find that an easy way to make a private sale is to sell to a property investor. They may not give you quite as much as you hoped to get for your house-on the other hand they will handle the sale and often the legal details as well. As they are usually not relying on selling their own house to buy yours, property investors are more likely to be able to make you a quick cash payment. This is quite an incentive especially if you want to move out of state in the near future. You don?t have to go through a real estate firm and nowadays you see an increasing number of properties that are for sale by the owner.

A real estate firm will advertise your property and often vet prospective buyers before passing them on to you. They may also be around to help with viewings as they know what sells houses. When you advertise privately you don?t know what sort of buyer you are attracting until they turn up at your front door. Don?t feel that you have to ask them in if you don?t like the look of them ? lie through your teeth and say you already have a buyer. Selling your own house may not be easy but it will save you money and give you more control over the process.

One of the most common means to successfully recruit people into multi level marketing schemes is by holding MLM forum advertising events. The usual leads that individuals that belong to multi level marketing schemes resort to getting their friends and family to by in on the program and that is how their pyramids are built.

However, with friends and family alone, the downward pyramid building will halt to a stop quicker than anyone intended. To prevent this from happening and to provide new leads for building a continuous down line, MLM forum advertising events are held.

You know you are being invited to an MLM forum advertising event when an acquaintance or someone not too close to you invites you to an event and promises you good food and perhaps the promise of an interesting seminar but remains vague about any concrete details except for the time, place and the fact that if you bring friends and other people to the event then that would be better. You have been just clearly invited to an MLM forum advertising event.

An MLM forum advertising event is a venue for the individuals who are members to recruit the crowd that shows up and add them all to growing downward pyramid. To wow and enthrall prospects, these MLM forum advertising events are held in posh venues with good food and drink for people who attend. This gives the impression that the business is thriving and is worth a person’s trust.

Next, thing that can be noted from these MLM forum advertising events is that several members of the pyramid will give especially dramatic testimonials about how the multi level marketing program had saved his or her life one way or another. In these MLM forum advertising events, it is not enough for people to give testimonials about how much money they earned and continue to earn.

These MLM forum advertising events are venues for the pyramid members to entice the other non members to join by using emotional stories like how a person who may have been at the end of his or her rope and was in dire need of money to get our of a scrape.

The usual emotional hits would be needing money for a seriously ill loved one or needing money to save their home from being repossessed. Then of course the testimonials will say how they turned to the multi level marketing program as their last hope and just at the very last minute, their money problems were solved and by the looks of things, they will never have money problems again.

That is how a typical MLM forum advertising event goes. These testimonials are designed to emotionally hook the listeners and make them want to join the program, providing fresh layers to the downward pyramid. Perhaps the reason why these MLM forum advertising can be very successful is not only because of the emotional success stories that they hear but because the people who giving the testimonials will tell the crowd that they are sharing their stories because they want to b e able to share the secret of success and wealth to them.

Of course they don’t mention that they are being recruited so that their own incomes from the pyramid continue to come in.

The title of this article “Web-Video Won” seems to be a bizarrerie since traditional television advertising still has its power after all. It however emphasizes the advantages of web-video, which are unable to be competed by traditional television advertising. Perhaps the television advertising age is passing away, and this might be as controversial as the issue of “online media VS traditional media”.

1. Web-video is less expensive (in distribution)

A number of observers and researchers pointed out that web-video is dramatically save. Comparing with television advertising clips, to distribute on web, videos do not have to be in high quality format. This might be one of the reasons to say “web-video is less expensive.” More importantly, when you distribute videos onto the Internet, no matter on your company’s official websites, or on video-sharing websites, it’s free. Considering the enormous cost for putting an advertising clip on television, Web-video won.

2. Audiences of web-videos are generally watching the videos actively

As known people receive television advertising passively, making audience annoyed, irritate, or even feel to be raped in that few people like being interrupted. This illustrates that television advertising clips are attached onto television programs. There are some drawbacks:

a). The better(/more popular) the program is, the more expensive the price of inserting advertisement

b). Even for the top-popular programs, the volume of audience is unlikely to be enlarged. It means that for television advertisement clips, there is no “word-of-mouth” potential at all

3. Web-videos are more creative

This might not be always true. However, as the volume of audiences can increase, web-videos have to be highly creative and interesting in order to attract more audience and obtain “word-of-mouth” distribution. Otherwise, those clips do not make sense.

4. Web-videos are efficient

You do not need to wait for anything. Once a video clip has been created, just post it onto the target website.
